Gillian Carter release new song "Drowning In Poison (Looking For An Escape)"

Gillian Carter offers the second preview of their forthcoming album, Salvation Through Misery, with the release of "Drowning In Poison (Looking For An Escape)".
The band's own Logan Rivera had the following to say about the new track:
The title references a bad wasp infestation in my backyard. They came back no matter what I did. One day, I squirted spry on the nest and watched them suffocate and fall. It got existential, because I didn't want to do it, but it was a problem. I related it to how people coped with depression during the pandemic with drugs, food, or alcohol.

Post CommentDude wrote a track after murdering wasps. Is that what counts for metal these days?
Metal is super pretentious. Everything has to be about hating life, hating others, death, killing something, depression, doom and gloom. Cheer up guys. Only YOUR lives suck. The rest of us wake up each day ready for another adventure.
I too have a pretty bad wasp infestation.!I'm elated to find awesome music to accompany my situation
Thought the ridiculous story was going to be indicative of the music. Then I heard the track and it was even worse. Total f*cking lack of riffs, not metal, barely hardcore
