Keaton Pierce, lead vocalist of Kentucky rock/post-hardcore band Too Close To Touch has passed away. According to his bandmates, Pierce died "suddenly and unexpectedly, just a short time ago due to a medical condition he had been dealing with privately."
A statement from the band reads as follows:
To all of the people who's lives were positively affected by the music of Too Close To Touch. We wish we had a better way to break this news. Our friend and brother Keaton passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, just a short time ago due to a medical condition he had been dealing with privately.
We are shaken and saddened and speechless. We all relied on Keaton to put words to feelings like these and convey them in a way that was undeniably one of a kind.
Keaton lives on through these songs that we made together. He lives on through that feeling you get when you listen to them.

It's wild because I keep my ear to the ground on heavier music but I never heard of this band, never heard anyone mention them, never saw them on tours, never saw anyone wearing their merch, etc. And now as usual, someone died and everyone is sucking their dick. And so I decided to check out the band and I was like "damn this shit is really doing it for me, I haven't felt this way about new music in a while." Feels weird bro. RIP
