Drew Stark (Candy, Malfunction) seriously injured after being struck by car
Drew Stark — who has done time in several bands, including Candy, Malfunction, and Trail of Lies — was hospitalized last week after being struck by a vehicle while walking with a friend in Hollywood, California.
Stark sustained multiple fractures in both legs and has subsequently undergone at least one surgery. Over the weekend a GoFundMe was created to ease Stark's financial burden over the coming months. You can find out more information and/or donate here.
"Drew and a friend were seriously injured Wednesday, January 26th in Los Feliz Ca. when struck by a vehicle while walking down the sidewalk of Hollywood Blvd in front of the Covell Restaurant. He sustained compound fractures in both legs among other serious injuries. Drew will be in the hospital for at least the next week for surgeries to repair the damage."

Ridiculous how this guy is getting money because the driver's insurance will cover his living expenses & if needed x amount if not all his medical expenses. Hardcore: Be in a band, get hit by a car, the money rolls in with never EVER details about how you got hit. Jaywalking? Slow to cross? Car ran a red light? Malicious or accidental Hit and run? If the last one or two then he's a crime victim thus all his medical bill are paid, the driver's insurance money will cover his living expenses, he can sue, possibly get rent relief, maybe keep his job, etc. And this dude has NO savings? Why does he need 35K? So he needs a grand shy of a year of rent on a 3K a month apartment? Cuz it takes a year for a 20/30 sonething year old dude to recover from a broken leg, yeah ok sure.
