Trivium album 'In the Court of the Dragon' debuts in Top 75 on Billboard 200
The new Trivium album, In the Court of the Dragon, has debuted at No. 71 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of roughly 11,000 in the United States. Of the tally, nearly 9,000 were pure sales (each sale is one CD or LP, or one paid album download, or ten paid single track downloads).
Meanwhile, In the Court of the Dragon landed at No. 5 on the Top Current Albums, No. 5 on the Top Album Sales, No. 8 on the Top Rock Albums, and No. 3 on the Top Hard Rock Albums charts.
This marks the eighth consecutive Trivium album to debut in the Top 100 on the Billboard 200 chart (dating back to 2006). Notably, however, In the Court of the Dragon is the first of those eight to debut outside the Top 35, and their smallest first-week sales total since 2005 album, Ascendancy.
Trivium's previous album, What the Dead Men Say (2020), bowed at No. 35 on the Billboard 200 after selling 12,500 copies in its debut week. Its precursor, 2017's The Sin and the Sentence, sold some 16,000 copies in its first week and landed at No. 23 on the Billboard 200. For older Trivium sales and charts results, have a look here.
