Deftones cancel all 2021 U.S. shows

Deftones have cancelled all of their scheduled 2021 U.S. performances. No explanation for their decision has been provided (though Covid-19 is almost certainly involved one way or another).

The news comes via the band's cancellation of their appearance at Rockville 2021 this November. An announcement (see below) regarding the matter was provided by Rockville organizers, who also revealed that Nine Inch Nails had made the same decision.

"Unfortunately Nine Inch Nails and Deftones have cancelled all their 2021 U.S. performances. We will be announcing their replacements very, very soon. All Thursday single day purchasers with receive an email within 72 hours.

"We are working around the clock on their replacements and will be announcing very, very soon. We thank  you for your continued patience and we simply cannot wait to see you at Rockville this November!"
