Cannibal Corpse album debuts in Top 50

Violence Unimagined, the fifteenth studio album from legendary death metal band Cannibal Corpse, has debuted at No. 45 on the Billboard 200, tallying 13,500 in pure sales (nearly 14,500 in total activity). Additionally, the new record bowed at No. 6 on the Top Album Sales chart, No. 6 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, No. 5 on the Independent Albums chart, No. 6 on Top Rock Albums, and No. 3 on Hard Rock Albums chart. The Billboard 200 showing is a significant improvement over the band's previous album, Red Before Black (2017), which landed at No. 95 on the chart and sold 7,200 copies in its first week of release in the United States. Going back further, Cannibal Corpse's 2014 album A Skeletal Domain, sold 8,800 in its first week and debuted at No. 32 on the Billboard 200, the group's highest U.S. chart debut to date.
