German hard rock/industrial metal veterans Rammstein have revealed that they've recorded a new album during their touring downtime caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Last October, the group announced that they were at a French studio, but shared little else regarding their plans.
Rammstein keyboard Christian "Flake" Lorenz has now confirmed that the band did indeed record a new album last fall. Speaking with Motor.de, Lorenz said (translated via Google), "The fact that we couldn't perform live increased our creativity. We had more time to think of new things and less distraction. As a result, we recorded an album that we hadn't planned on."
Further details have yet to be divulged, but a fall 2021 release seems likely.
