Evan Rachel Wood accuses ex-fiance Marilyn Manson of abuse

In both 2019 and 2018, actress Evan Rachel Wood provided testimony before members of state and federal government in which she spoke of an abusive relationship with an unspecified man. Said man was largely believed to be rocker Marilyn Manson, since Wood and Manson were in a relationship from 2006 through 2010 (notably, Manson is nearly 20 years her senior). As recently as November, a representative of Manson's has categorically denied any such allegation. Earlier today, however, Evan Rachel Wood took to Instagram (see below) to accuse Manson (by name) of abuse. Her statement reads as follows:
"The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with many victims who will no longer be silent."
Neither Manson nor his team have responded thus far. UPDATE #1: Marilyn Manson has subsequently been dropped by his record label. UPDATE #2: Marilyn Manson has now issued the following statement:
"Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth."
