The Acacia Strain album debuts in Top 100

Slow Decay, the new album from metalcore/deathcore veterans The Acacia Strain, has debuted at No. 87 on the Billboard 200 chart. The record tallied 9,100 in pure sales and 12,000 album-equivalent units in its first week of release in the United States. Meanwhile, Slow Decay landed at No. 5 on the Current Albums chart, No. 3 on the Hard Rock Albums chart, No. 5 on the Album Sales chart, and No. 5 on the Vinyl Albums chart. The new album comes just seven months after the group's previous outing, surprise-release It Comes In Waves, which failed to chart on the Billboard 200. Going back further, The Acacia Strain's 2017 release, Gravebloom, sold 5,100 copies in its first week and bowed at No. 146 on the Billboard 200. In 2014, the band released their highest-charting album to date, Coma Witch, which debuted at No. 31 on the Billboard 200 with 9,400 in first-week sales.
