Deftones still mixing new album

In late February, we learned that Deftones had finished recording their new album and mixing was underway. Although progress has since been made, the pandemic has significantly slowed the process and mixing still has yet to be completed. Drummer Abe Cunningham provided the following update today: "We're currently mixing it. Given the current situation, it's been a bit difficult to get everyone in the same room. We can't. So, we're at least still doing that. I wanted to thank you for your patience, obviously, and, of course, your interest in that. It's coming." On a positive note, Deftones will begin hosting livestream events via Twitch starting tomorrow (April 17).
