Parkway Drive donate $35,000 to Australia fire relief efforts

Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive have just taken some significant steps to help combat the devastating wildfires in Australia. Yesterday the group launched a GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $250,000 (AUD) for the Australian Wildlife Rescue Organisation (WIRES) and Red Cross Australia. As part of the launch, Parkway Drive personally donated $50,000 AUD (nearly $35,000 in American dollars) to the effort. Parkway Drive are encouraging their fans to help out, and thus far more than 600 have. The band said, "thank you immensely for supporting these causes in these extreme circumstances."
