Korn album 'The Nothing' debuts in Top 10

The Nothing, the thirteenth studio album from California alternative metal veterans Korn, has debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, selling roughly 33,000 copies (29,000 in pure album sales) in its first week of release in the United States. While Korn are no longer capable of scoring No. 1 albums, as they did with Follow The Leader (1998) and Issues (1999), The Nothing's debut represents the band's fourteenth Top 10 album on the Billboard 200. The tally puts them in a tie with Van Halen for the fifth-most Top 10 debuts among rock bands (behind only The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Dave Matthews Band, and Santana). Korn's previous album, 2016's The Serenity of Suffering sold 57,000 album equivalent units in its first week and bowed at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Going back further, The Paradigm Shift (2013) bowed at No. 8 with first-week sales of 46,000.
