Motorhead's original guitarist Larry Wallis dies

Larry Wallis, a member of the original Motörhead line-up, has passed away at the age of 70. In May 1975, while still a member of the English rock band Pink Fairies, Wallis was recruited by Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister to help launch Motörhead. Wallis recorded one album with Motorhead, On Parole (released three years later in 1979), before departing the group in early 1976, shortly after "Fast" Eddie Clarke joined the band on guitar. During the last four decades Wallis produced several albums, was a member of the resurrected Pink Fairies, and put out a solo album.
