Myspace lost every song uploaded between 2003-2015

Every Time I Die on Facebook circa 2007 MySpace, once the world's most heavily-trafficked website, has confirmed that it accidentally deleted more than 50 million songs uploaded to the site over a 12-year period. According to Myspace, the files were lost during a server migration and cannot be recovered. If you were in a band ten years ago, chances are that MySpace was the hub of your online presence. Some 14 million artists were among those whose music was lost. MySpace had the following to say: "As a result of a server migration project, any photos, videos, and audio files you uploaded more than three years ago may no longer be available on or from Myspace. We apologise for the inconvenience and suggest that you retain your back up copies. If you would like more information, please contact our Data Protection Officer, Dr. Jana Jentzsch at DPO@myspace.com."
