Soulfly debut new song featuring Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe

Soulfly will release their new album, Ritual, on October 19 through Nuclear Blast. In advance of its street date, the band has shared a new single titled "Dead Behind The Eyes." The track features guest vocals from Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe and can be streamed below. Vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera commented in a recent interview with Sweden's RockSverige: "It was really cool. [Randy is] really tight with [producer] Josh [Wilbur] and Josh has done all the Lamb of God stuff, and he was working on the Burn The Priest record, so I just told Josh to give him the tracks and, 'Show them to him, and if there's anything he likes, if he wants to sing on it, it's all cool.' I didn't have a song for him, so he showed him everything and what Josh told me was that they were listening to it, and the minute that song came on, it was nicknamed 'Bruiser Brothers', and the minute he heard it, it was, like, 'That's it! This is the one! I don't wanna hear anything else.' I had already written the lyrics, so I sent him all my lyrics and it was just good to have the Randy voice on it. He's got a real distinctive voice, really unique and that's what I like about guys like him. It's very original and you know it's him."

who is the lamb of god vocalist?

I've been scared they might change the guitars to accommodate Randy Blythe, but that is not the case at all. Guitars are loud and very very strong. Drums not so much. I'm not a fan of the drumming when it is low to basic standard. Shame Theresa Packowski-Nutzer left the group. She could drum. But Blythe more than makes up for it. Lyrics are on point. "Until I find the right one, my heart is wasting awayiayyy, I know he's out there". Y'all please give it more than 3 spins it's worth it. 5/5

^ You're not funny .... You're pathetic... Go munch on a tide pod cookie and go to bed and live the goddamn dream.

^ Your schtick of commenting as anonymous and then signing in and doing an up-arrow comment in response your own anonymous comment is pretty worn out dude. No disrespect but maybe it's time to go back to the drawing board

^ Your schtick of commenting about how other people's schticks are wore out and unfunny is wore out and unfunny. Time to go back to the drawing board, dude.

^ The only thing funny around here is me, Doug. ::removes shades:: Doug Funnie.

I get a very slight Soulfly vibe from this.

^ I LOVE THIS, nice man, hope this becomes a thing. Thanks.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:00:37 PM

after giving it a solid listen,I would pass on this if you've got a lot of other bands to listen to this year. it's not bad by any means, I just don't have time for it.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:01:23 PM

^ I keep seeing this "I don't have time for this" douchecanoodling bullshit on here and it doesn't make sense to me. How does someone not have "enough time" to listen to an album, sagelick?

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:02:07 PM

^ i am real busy right now and only have a certain amount of time to listen to my favorite artists, cousinfcker.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:02:42 PM

^ It's going to exist for the foreseeable future. You can listen to it whenever you have time, creaseavoider.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:03:24 PM

^ "i don't have time for this" translates to: this isn't good enough to be worth whatever time i have set aside to listen to music. sorry to hear you get assbent by what others choose to do with their time, rearblaster.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:06:27 PM

^ It's cool man. just sounds like you're bad at time management, taintnuzzler.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:07:46 PM

^ i'm lit at time management. last night with your mom i was done in 30 seconds while your dad watched, goochgobblin.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:08:19 PM

^ If it's good enough to listen to but you have other stuff you want to jam first, add it to your library and save it for later. If it's not good enough to save for later, there are better things you could do with your time than to post on a heavy metal site saying "It's ok but I don't have time to listen to ok music," grundleglazer.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:09:03 PM

^ posting on a heavy metal site takes 5 minutes, listening to albums takes 40 minutes, perineumpolisher.

anonymous 9/14/2018 6:10:46 PM

^ Do you just want us to know that you're busy? 'cause ain't nobody got time for that, smegmaregurgitator.

F___A___G___G___O___T 9/14/2018 6:11:38 PM

^ I like this banter

anonymous 9/15/2018 7:45:40 AM
