False Idol, the latest album from Chicago, Illinois band
Veil of Maya, has debuted at No. 67 on the Billboard 200, selling roughly 7,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release. Meanwhile, the record also landed at No. 17 on the Top Album Sales chart, No. 3 on the Hard Rock Albums chart, and No. 5 on the Independent Albums chart.
The band's previous album, 2015's
Matriarch, bowed at No. 58 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 9,400. Their 2012 release,
Eclipse, sold 7,800 in its first week and debuted at No. 76 on the aforementioned chart.
