Los Angeles, CA post-rock outfit Night Verses has announced the departure of vocalist Douglas Robinson. The band will now carry on as an instrumental trio. Here's the official word:

Post CommentGOOD. I saw them in 2014 without their singer (he was ill or something) and they were incredible. I bought the CD, which has the singer in it, and was so disappointed. They need to be an instrumental band.
I hope he goes back to The Sleeping and we get a new record
Imagine a member leaving this band. "The former Night Verses singer is starting a new band called Day Choruses. As the new Day Choruses singer he plans to step out of the shadows of his former band, Night Verses."

well, what little care people had for this band to start with is surely gone now.
Seriously does anyone give a f*kK? Guaranteed these guys never play to more than 10 people in their entire careers
1. Night Verses are incredible. 2. Douglas was amazing, but they were an instrumental band FIRST. 3. I think it sparks a conversation for how having vocals can limit your creativity in songwriting and I think they may have seen themselves being pidgeomholed.
