Night Verses part ways with vocalist

Night Verses part ways with singer Los Angeles, CA post-rock outfit Night Verses has announced the departure of vocalist Douglas Robinson. The band will now carry on as an instrumental trio. Here's the official word:
"As of today, we (Aric, Nick, Reilly) will be continuing Night Verses as an instrumental trio. We came to this decision mutually with Douglas and believe it is the best thing for us all moving forward. We'd like to take this time to not only thank Douglas for his commitment and contributions to the band for the past 5+ years, but to also acknowledge how important he was to the foundation of the band. We've played hundreds of shows around the world together, and made art that we'll be proud of forever. Thank you to our team and everyone at Equal Vision / Graphic Nature records for the continued support, and most of all, thank you for staying interested and taking the time to read this."
In related news, Night Verses will enter the studio later this month with producer Will Putney to begin tracking their third album. A preview of some new material can be heard below.

GOOD. I saw them in 2014 without their singer (he was ill or something) and they were incredible. I bought the CD, which has the singer in it, and was so disappointed. They need to be an instrumental band.

I hope he goes back to The Sleeping and we get a new record

Imagine a member leaving this band. "The former Night Verses singer is starting a new band called Day Choruses. As the new Day Choruses singer he plans to step out of the shadows of his former band, Night Verses."

Seriously does anyone give a f*kK? Guaranteed these guys never play to more than 10 people in their entire careers

1. Night Verses are incredible. 2. Douglas was amazing, but they were an instrumental band FIRST. 3. I think it sparks a conversation for how having vocals can limit your creativity in songwriting and I think they may have seen themselves being pidgeomholed.
