Every Time I Die album cover ripped off by Foster The People?

Every Time I Die vs Foster The People album covers Earlier this evening, Every Time I Die took to Instagram to highlight the obvious similarities between the cover art of ETID's latest record, Low Teens, and III, the newly announced album by major label indie pop band, Foster The People. You can compare the two above. Quite a few people are calling out Foster The People on their Facebook page for the purported rip-off, however, the band has yet to comment thus far (we suspect they never will).

anonymous 4/27/2017 6:44:08 PM

To which foster the people responded "Who"?

anonymous 4/27/2017 7:04:57 PM

Every Time I Die ripped off Mushroomhead. Karma

anonymous 4/27/2017 7:42:06 PM

ETID is brush strokes. FTP is runny effect. Totally different.

anonymous 4/27/2017 9:09:07 PM

Is it unoriginal as hell? Yea. But unless ETID owns some kind of copywrite or trademark on "Pinkish Red Swirly Font on a Black Background" I dunno what anyone expects the gay indie pop band to do here.

anonymous 4/27/2017 10:03:25 PM

They're also deleting all of the blatantly obvious etid related things in their comment section. Looks like they're trying to sweep everyone under the rug

anonymous 4/27/2017 11:29:39 PM

The funny part about the comments here is that there seems to be people who think FTP are more popular than ETID due to releasing one pop hit 5 years ago... hahaha

anonymous 4/27/2017 11:48:40 PM

gayghoes trying to make themselves unique, just bringing into play more of their sagegery that makes the feel like they're still making popular music about shootin kids in school, good stuff.

anonymous 4/27/2017 11:49:53 PM

also suck a sage dck, seriously take that big black snake into your gullet and let life make you feel complete.

anonymous 4/27/2017 11:51:08 PM

now drunk as fck realizing that Lambgoat censors and changes ethnic slurs and other offensive material and changes your comments, haha wtf? but amusing none-the-gay-less

anonymous 4/27/2017 11:53:30 PM

fck it, I'm going down the rabbit-hole, let's see what they censor the n-word as, you sages. Also slang for a homosexual male is gay, but let's see what that is too. Also Asians sure a bunch of chinks.

anonymous 4/27/2017 11:55:08 PM

hahaha chink works, good job lambgoat, hope that you care about those nips and much as you do chinks. Seriously, for the record I'm not racist I'm just drunk and amused by the whole censorship aspect of the lambgoat comments, also "sage" as a replacement for the n-word is strangely amusing.

FTP's first album has sold more than all of ETIDs releases combined. FTPs performance fee is a good 15-20x more than ETIDs. ETIDs social media following is superior to ETIDs. FTP has been nominated and won more industry accolades than ETID. There is no measurable area where FTP falls below ETID. DEAL WITH IT.

anonymous 4/28/2017 12:33:44 AM

First off, fck YOU^^ Second, what the fck does this mean: "ETIDs social media following is superior to ETIDs"? Smooth one dipshit. Third, they're completely different styles of music, and would never be considered for any of the same awards of accolades to begin with. Fourth, fck YOU, again. Fifth, go sniff your dad's dcktip.

Genghisjohn 4/28/2017 12:51:55 AM

Both bands ripped off the font for Rick James' "Fire It Up" album cover. Case closed.

Genghisjohn 4/28/2017 12:59:02 AM

Like its hard to think of an album cover so intricate and artful and unique as this. Someone better hold my hand before I fcking cry very hard

anonymous 4/28/2017 1:48:49 AM

Even if this was a rip off ( which it's not) , how would this in any way shape or form hurt either of these bands? Cliche album cover is cliche. Anyone butt hurt over this what so ever..is a true f.aggot

anonymous 4/28/2017 2:05:36 AM

What is all means asswipe, is that FTP wouldn't know ETID (or their album artwork) unless they were getting their Porsche's oil changed at Meineke.

anonymous 4/28/2017 4:16:37 AM

Last 12 or so comments are same person. U can tell because no one writes that much in an LG comment

anonymous 4/28/2017 4:56:01 AM

anonymous 4/28/2017 8:05:43 AM

Both shit covers. Hire an Illustrator

anonymous 4/28/2017 12:02:06 PM

Get Jordan to draw something for the next record. Nobody can rip that off.

anonymous 4/28/2017 12:47:24 PM

because Foster the People know who ETID are lolololol

anonymous 4/28/2017 1:17:45 PM

That Rick James comment wins

anonymous 4/28/2017 1:42:48 PM

ETID should patent the color black and the color red

anonymous 4/28/2017 6:34:49 PM

Also Asians sure a bunch of chinks.

anonymous 4/28/2017 10:49:39 PM

anonymous 4/28/2017 11:44:25 PM

anonymous 4/29/2017 10:04:04 AM

anonymous 5/6/2017 4:41:26 PM

"Quite a few people are calling out Foster The People on their Facebook page for the purported rip-off" Quite a few people are morons.
