The Great Collapse, the new album from New Jersey death metal/deathcore act Fit For An Autopsy, has debuted at No. 199 on the Billboard 200 (and No. 47 on the Billboard Top Current Albums chart) with first-week sales of 4,099 in the United States. Meanwhile, the record landed at No. 6 on the Hard Rock Albums chart and No. 9 on the Independent Albums chart.
The showing represents the band's first appearance on the Billboard 200, and their best first-week sales debut to date. Their previous album, Absolute Hope Absolute Hell (2015), sold roughly 2,700 copies in its first week, bowing at No. 18 on the Hard Rock Albums chart and No. 29 on the Independent Albums chart.
Meanwhile, their 2013 Hellbound release sold 1,100 copies in its debut week.
