Architects score their highest sales, chart debut

All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, the new album from British metalcore/post-hardcore outfit Architects, has debuted at No. 109 on the Billboard 200, with first-week sales of roughly 5,500 in the United States. Meanwhile, the record landed at No. 9 on the Independent Albums chart and No. 13 on the Top Rock Albums chart. This is both the highest sales and chart debut for the band in the United States since their 2004 formation. Their previous album, Lost Forever // Lost Together (2014), sold 2,900 copies in its first week, debuting at No. 125 on the Billboard 200. Architects' 2012 release, Daybreaker, tallied first-week sales of 1,200, not enough to chart on the Billboard 200.

anonymous 6/8/2016 8:46:18 PM

When did crush mean sell about a tenth ad many records and tickets to shows?

^ because we measure the metrics of legimate music based on how many high schoolers, scene chicks and mallcore dweebs latch onto a band solely for image over talent.

if you equate album sales and financial prosperity with being a "successful" band, then you're just a businessman, not a musician, and you're probably in the wrong scene. also, eat a big bag of kardashian shit. also, fight me. c*nt.

lol this poor band is just livin in the shadows of bring me the horizon. it's tragic really. ^this dipshit is the kind of person that still says "This Is What The Edge Of Seat Was Made For is the best BMTH release ever. No Care Ever."

But how many "BLEEEH's" are on this record. Those are the only numbers that count really.

anonymous 6/9/2016 3:30:40 PM

and you're probably in the wrong scene. What scene? Mainstream heavy music? Because that's the one these bands live in, chief. They're not underground "credible" bands. They're both trying to be big. Go back to the b9 board and trade some limited merch. I'll fight your mother, too. c*nt.

anonymous 6/11/2016 10:43:42 AM

Cool, we'll keep that in mind when we're talking about hardcore bands you undiagnosed Asberger's case.

^ lambgoat sysop takes offense once again.....anonymously

anonymous 6/11/2016 11:57:26 PM

While the album is decent, it's nowhere near as memorable as the previous one!
