Deftones band photo Gore, the new album from Sacramento, California alternative metal band Deftones, has debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, with first week sales of 71,000 in the United States. This is the highest Billboard 200 debut for the Deftones since their 2003 self-titled album. The band's previous album, Koi No Yokan, sold 65,000 copies in its debut week, landing at No. 11 on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, Diamond Eyes (2010) sold 62,000 in its first week, good enough for a No. 6 debut on the Billboard 200.

Diamond Eyes deserved better first week sales. Gore is pretty disappointing, no stand out songs or anything memorable
