New Jersey hardcore band Suburban Scum has revealed that they are still a band and will "continue on" in 2016.
As you may recall, the group was poised to release a new album this past summer when frontman Ryan Taylor, aka Karebear, was accused of participating in an assault of Crosscheck drummer Tom Alderson, who was hospitalized as a result. In the wake of the ensuing controversy, the band was essentially forced underground.
Fast forward to yesterday and the band issued this update via Twitter:

Vogel is the modern day godfather of hardcore. His reluctance to ever even acknowledge his status for fame all but confirms it. I don't see how a man that has fronted one of the most prominent hardcore bands for the last 13 years and other great bands before that has "zee street cred"??? Originally felt bad for the rest of the band because their names would continue to be associated with "Karebear" even though they had nothing to do with that shit at TIHC. They're actively continuing to be involved with him, so they deserve what they get after that.
