Fire at metal concert leaves 27 dead, 184 injured

A pyrotechnics display gone awry at a Bucarest, Romania metal concert last night ended in tragedy, leaving at least 27 killed and 184 injured. Local metal band Goodbye to Gravity was performing when the incident occurred. After the pyrotechnics sparked a fire, hundreds of concertgoers scrambled for the club's single exit. Deputy Interior Minister Raed Arafat said that no fire permit was requested by the club nor was one granted to them by the Bucharest fire department. Soraya Sarhaddi Nelson of NPR had this to say:
"Fireworks set off inside during a heavy metal rock concert are suspected of having caused the blaze that tore through the club. "Many of the deaths and injuries occurred during the stampede for the exit. A witness told Romania's state news agency the terrified crowd broke down a second door down to escape. "Hospital officials say many of those being treated were suffering from smoke inhalation and severe burns."
UPDATE: According to Ziarul de iasi Goodbye To Gravity guitarists Vlad Telea and Mihai Alexandru (pictured below) perished in the blaze. Meanwhile, lead singer Andrei Galut and bassist Alex Pascu are both hospitalized with serious injuries. Goodbye To Gravity guitarists die in fire

anonymous 11/1/2015 11:53:59 AM

anonymous 11/2/2015 4:22:04 AM

I's getting hot in here!!

anonymous 11/2/2015 5:03:03 AM

The romanian with a glass eye

anonymous 11/2/2015 5:07:14 AM

When will bands learn to not cover Shai Hulud's "Set Your Body Ablaze"?

anonymous 11/2/2015 10:09:47 AM

Who would've thought that setting off fireworks indoors would be a bad idea!?!?!?

anonymous 11/3/2015 11:02:08 AM

So cringe-worthy. "Maybe since nobody actually cares about music or bands anymore, fire will make a show stand out!" Idiotic. I feel horrible for victims.

anonymous 11/3/2015 2:21:46 PM

Bad Luck 13 is impressed
