Texas In July breaking up

Official press release: Today, Texas In July has started to announce their final shows together. The band has announced their farewell European tour – which will feature festival appearances at Jera On Air, Graspop, and With Full Force Festival – and select shows with the likes of Chelsea Grin and Walking With Strangers. The Ephrata, PA-based band originally formed in 2007 and signed to Equal Vision Records in 2010. Texas In July is currently comprised of JT Cavey (vocals), Adam Gray (drums), Chris Davis (lead guitar), and Benjamin Witkowski (bass). "I've had the best times of my life during the last eight years with this band," shares drummer Adam Gray. "From years of playing for little to no audience – to stages and massive crowds all over the world I thought I would never experience. I've met some of the coolest people and am so thankful for all of the friendships I've made. It's time to really dedicate my time to improving at my instrument and getting back to the drawing board. Thank you to all my fans and friends who have supported me and will continue to support me through whatever is next. I hope you see you all one last time on our European farewell tour. Thank you! "To all of our European fans and friends, it breaks our hearts to say that this coming June will be our final appearance overseas in Europe," adds fellow founding member and bassist Ben Witkowski. "We are extremely excited to share these last moments with you all, since you have been such a huge part of the band. We began touring in Europe before Texas In July had ever even played a show in California or any other western states or North American territories. With that being said, it is safe to say that traveling to your countries have always been, and forever will be, one of the most memorable things for us all. Thank you for giving us a home away from home all these years, it has been an absolute pleasure rocking with such a metal part of the world. We love you, see you in June for final Texas In July European tour. Let's make it the best one we ever had." Prior to the European run, Texas In July will head out on a short US tour as direct support to Gideon. The band will announce a final full U.S. headliner, later this year.
