Post CommentI wish they refused to release new album in 2015
this won't be good if they keep in stead with 'the shape' sound. their best material is far and away 'songs' and 'everlasting'
i "refused" to listen to this band before and now i will "refused" to listen to this band again lol lol
Seeing big evil capitalist reunion dollar signs eh refused? Lol.
Breach was always a MUCH better band anyways from start to finish. And Refused stopped being good in 96.
awesome news! Hope it lives up to shape of things ...
their best material is far and away 'songs' and 'everlasting' Yes, the albums no one fcking liked when they were out. Come to think of it, no one liked Shape, either.
You think they stand to win a chunk of money for getting back together and dropping a new record? I know they won't make millions, but will they draw a profit that screams capitalistic desire?
How can anyone really say the earlier stuff is better? It's not that I dislike it but I consider The Shape of Punk to Come to be one of the few perfect records.

The point is they spent a career bitching and whining about capitalism while successfully operating in and profiting from a capitalist free market system. Just shows they're still ignorant hippies.
I wouldn't call Shape a "perfect record". Maybe for elitist experimental pricks. I liked the album when it came out. It was hard/indie/rock/punk/hardc ore crossover. A more fun and experimental Snapcase is what it struck me as. But hardly perfect.
i heard from an unreliable source that Refused is releasing a new album in 2015.
and pitchforks best album of 2015 goes toooooo
"Shape Of Punk To Come" is the de facto, over-hyped crossover record for dudes who want to puss out of hardcore and switch to indie and post-rock. I have all their albums and yes, their earlier shit was better.

First. This band is too old and stuck up their own asses for this to even be remotely good.
