Official press release:
Think Fast Records is extremely excited to announce the signing of San Antonio's SnakeWay.
Formed only a year ago, SnakeWay has wasted little time charging forward with their brand of metallic hardcore. Easily comparable to their metal-influenced counterparts, the band destroys the trend of becoming as accessible and poppy as possible; creating a brand of hardcore that is as ugly, dark, and in your face as bands like Ringworm, or even Suicidal Tendencies.
Early last year, SnakeWay self-released their debut EP, 'Year of the Snake' and in true DIY fashion were quick to book shows throughout Texas, including a short run with Merauder. 'Year of the Snake' caught the attention of Think Fast, with plans to re-release the effort on digital format on April 8th.
Think Fast co-owner, Ryan O'Connor comments; "Maybe it's the miserable southern heat, but Texas seems to breed some great metal influenced hardcore in bands like Iron Age and Power Trip. SnakeWay fit into that kind of world nicely. No ex-member hype, just stripped down, extremely heavy, tight hardcore played by kids from Texas."
Vocalist, Justin Guerrero adds "We are really stoked on being a part of Think Fast. 'Year of the Snake' is a good introduction to SnakeWay, but we're also really excited about our new material and can't wait to hit the road and let everyone hear it!"
'Year of the Snake' will hit iTunes and digital retailers on April 8th, and will precede the band's next EP, which is already nearing completion with an early Summer release date planned.
