California's Point of Recognition has decided to break-up after roughly four years together. The annoucement comes only three months after the release of their "Day Of Defeat" full-length on Facedown Records. The group's final show with be on October 19th at the Showcase with Figure Four and The Deal. Here is a statement from Aaron of the band:
"After about four years we have decided to call it quits, this decision has come with much prayer, and alot of thought, with another member change imminent, I wanted to re-evaluate the position and future of the band. 'Day of Defeat' is doing awesome, so keep going out and picking those copies of the new record. I fell personally that my calling to be in a touring band is done, I choose not to tour so that I can spend time with my daughter Ashlyn, and finish school. I am sarting a new band called Count The Cost, so be on the look out for that, we won't be a touring band but will try to remain a force in the local scene. The final show will the same bands as announced before with more to be announced, we will be playing material from all of our releases, and the old members will be there to bust out some of the old jams. We would like to thank all the local bands we grew up with, Jason Dunn for his awesome support and hard work despite the occasional band drama, and most of all we would like to thank God for all He has allowed us to be apart of, and allowing us to share His truth despite of ourselves."
