Ringworm NOT calling it quits

After roughly 20 years together, is Cleveland, OH hardcore band Ringworm getting ready to throw in the towel? We don't have any inside information or anything, but the band has issued two Twitter posts today that don't sound particularly promising. First came a Tweet that said, "The end draws near my friends." Just a few hours later came "Don't read into things too much...endings can be good things." When asked if those Tweets were referring to the band's contract with Victory Records, their response was, "Victory deal was over when the last record dropped." Couple that with the fact that Ringworm recently cancelled a U.S. tour and it all sounds rather bleak. But who knows. Either way, we'll keep you posted. Update #1: In addition to deleting the second of the aformentioned Tweets, Ringworm has now added the following: "Wow, the power of twitter. Don't read into this." So maybe they were only temporarily pretending to break up? I don't know, but I've officially lost interest (I have a short attention span). Update #2: Ok, so much for that. All of the Tweets have now been deleted and a source close to the band (i.e. we trust this guy) tells us that Ringworm is NOT breaking up. They're in fact working on plans for 2012 right now. So there you go. Sorry for wasting your time. But, hey, the band wasted ours! Of course now it's only fair that you run off and waste somebody else's time. Do it. Pay it forward.
