Ex-FASSW guitarist joins new band

Official press release: Derek Vasconi, ex-guitar player and one of the original founding members of the Black Market Activities band, From a Second Story Window, has joined the Youngstown, Ohio band Aldous. Over the past several months, they have written and played numerous shows and recently released an EP entitled "Kneel Before the King," that was recorded with Michael Rosswog (Complete Failure, Today is the Day) in Pittsburgh, PA. Vasconi comments: "Well, it's been awhile. Since leaving FASSW, I have tried to be part of several projects and work towards something meaningful in today's otherwise piss poor music environment. I can honestly say that I think Aldous has finally been the answer I was looking for. We have worked hard towards something that I hope all of you will find tangible and accessible. Basically, I listened to way too much mono and a million grind bands and this is the end result. Also, I needed to be part of a band that doesn't mind going absolutely crazy onstage instead of doing some stupid Britney Spears choreography shit when they play their even more stupid breakdowns every five seconds in Gflat. So every show, Aldous will pick up where FASSW left off in terms of absolute craziness with our live show. If you are a label or a band and like both what you hear and see, we are looking to get signed and go out on the road and never come home. Or hell, give us a house show or any show for that matter...we will play wherever whenever. I just look forward to seeing old and new faces every place we are lucky enough to play. Thank you!"
