Good Life rebuffs Arkangel accusations

In response to Arkangel's incediary statement about Good Life Recordings' lack of support leading to the cancellation of their tour, Good Life themselves have offered up their own version of the situation. Here's what they had to say: ------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. We, Good Life Recordings, asked Hellfest to let the band play again this year. Keith agreed, on the condition there was going to be a tour built around it cuz Hellfest could not pay for all of their tickets for a single show. 2. Up until a two weeks ago, Arkangel had a standing offer from a reputable u.s. Hard Core label to re-release 'Dead Man Walking' in the USA. This label hooked them up with a van, an East Coast tour with Avenged Sevenfold, even though nothing had been signed yet. It was a nice thing to do. Another week later, the person booking A.S. put A.S. on an even bigger tour so the slot for Arkangel fell through. These things happen. As everyone knows, just about every band in the country is on tour on the East Coast around Hellfest, so it was virtually impossible to find paying shows for Arkangel. 3. Arkangel decided not to take the licensing offer, which is their right, and look out for a better licensing deal in the future, for the USA. 4. I called up Hellfest guys, and asked them to retain the Arkangel slot on the fest, and consider the two options left... either pay them more (to cover the tickets) or we were also looking into the option of finding them more shows... We got a message back from Hellfest saying they could not afford to pay the band more after all; and finding more decent shows on such short notice seemed impossible as well, so the U.S. trip was dropped after careful consideration. 5. Finally, I would like to add to this that no one in ARKANGEL has internet... anything you read is posted by someone who is NOT in the band. Our life consists of much, much more than reading net gossip, or even answering stupid posts. While some posts are valid, most of them are BS and everybody knows it. -----------------------------------------------------------------
