Swedish progressive metal band Opeth has announced plans to begin recording their 10th album in early-2011. The group will enter Atlantis studios (ABBA) in Stockholm on January 31st to begin tracking, with engineer Jens Bogren (Soilwork) once again at the helm. The effort will be mixed by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and a fall 2011 release via Roadrunner Records is expected.
