Lye By Mistake debuts song from new album

In 2004, Lambgoat published a stellar review of an EP from an unknown St. Louis band called Lye By Mistake. We liked the band so much that when Lambgoat Records was launched two years later, we made Lye By Mistake's debut full-length our first release (buy it). In the intervening two years, Lye By Mistake signed with Black Market Activies (the label headed by The Red Chord frontman Guy Kozowyk), parted ways with their singer, and toured with the likes of Between The Buried And Me. Since then, their fans have been waiting patiently for a new album. Well, on October 13th said fans will be rewarded with the release of the group's mind-boggling sophomore full-length, "Fea Jur." To whet your appetite, we're pleased to bring you the first taste of this new album with a song called "Invincible Badass." If you're a rational human being with good taste in music, you'll like it.

what happened to all the good techy skill and genre blending that made this band kinda cool - now its some post rock pothead band. this sounds like one riff over and over again with some shredding- this is boring.

bandolier_of_carrots 9/30/2009 3:14:26 PM

this makes my prog pssy wet. BIG change from the last album, but a welcome one because the debut got old as shit after a couple of plays.

seagal 9/30/2009 8:53:07 PM

xenosapien 9/30/2009 9:09:18 PM

homelessguy 9/30/2009 9:42:48 PM

rickrock 10/1/2009 8:39:36 AM

It'd be awesome to hear Mike Patton do vocals over this track.

mr_peanut_says 10/1/2009 1:36:24 PM

jim_dangle 10/1/2009 3:41:23 PM

they're not from cali.... st. louis natives

faggotbandnocareever 10/1/2009 6:40:10 PM

boring as fck. guitarist is a c-ckstar. tony made/did everything for this band. even their home town couldn't care less about em.

rawdog69 10/2/2009 2:16:08 AM

i just want to hear the rest of the album.. sounds incredible so far

rawdog69 10/2/2009 2:20:27 AM

and yeah that guitarist definitely borrowed one of his little bridge lick things from vai's triple neck solo from the g3 tour

splagen 10/2/2009 1:21:44 PM

you are all idiots

splagen 10/2/2009 1:22:43 PM

if tony really made/did everything for the band how are they coming out with another cd w/o him and have waaayy more press about it?

splagen 10/2/2009 1:23:28 PM

and p.s. they are from St. Louis not California and we love them here! you are all bitches! =)

pawn_in_the_game 10/2/2009 1:46:55 PM

We do love these guys here in St. Louis. They have provided us with a lot of fun and good times over the last half decade. Can't wait for the album.

faggotbandnocareever 10/4/2009 7:01:04 PM

To Splagen: Seriously? 1. A post on lambgoat isn't "waaay" more press. 2. It isn't hard to "put out" a cd. 3. They might draw 20 kids in their hometown. (yes I live their)
