Lamb Of God update & dates w/ Shadows Fall

Lamb Of God has returned home from their extensive U.S. tour, and they have released a statement regarding the tour, as well as work on their next album for Prosthetic Records: "The idea was to keep the ticket prices low and get into places we hadn't been yet with the New American Gospel. We accomplished that and a whole lot more. Thanks to all of our friends who came out night after night supporting the band. It was great to see a lot of new faces and even better to see the ones we already knew coming back for more and partying with us. We truly and sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to heading back out, meeting back up and looking for more trouble in the near future. Our next step is to buckle down and try to lay off live shows and touring in order to concentrate on the writing process. We have several arrangements that are coming into their own, but we want to spend the time making sure the next record is everything we want it to be. Every time we write, we push ourselves over our own limits. We aren't interested in rehashing the same CD, finishing songs in the studio or taking 5 minutes to write some sing-songy crap for MTV. Our next album will be a purposeful testament to the ability of the five members in this band to push each other beyond any and all current limitations. We are going to work very hard not to dissapoint ourselves, or you. It will be pure American metal at it's very best. As soon as we can, we will be back out there kicking butt. Until then, stay metal..." Since they will soon be diving into work on their next album, the band stresses that their appearance at the New England Metal Fest and their string of upcoming dates with Shadows Fall may be the last time to catch them live for quite some time.
