Imperial has announced the addition of Marco "The Shredder" Mendoza to their line-up. Here's a statement from the band:
"Marco brings his experience from writing, recording and touring with hardcore/metal act From The Shallows and will be taking his position as full time Shredder with Imperial. Josh Lightfoot will be moving to Synth/Keyboards full time for the band as our new music will focus more on the symphonic elements that we have experimented with in the past through tracks such as 'Drinking Wine From The Wounds Of Our Dead Wives.' We are very excited to allow this element to emerge Josh's symphonic pieces have always sounded very much like a movie soundtrack mixed with the metal we are bringing the album has a much more epic feel while keeping to our traditional American metal roots. We are super stoked about this decision to add Marco to the lineup and we can't wait for you all to hear the element he will add to our music.
"We are still in the writing/recording process of our new album but we will be posting a new song with a music video that we recently shot for the upcoming release. New layouts for our Myspace and merchandise will also be available from us to you shortly, we appreciate all the love and support from our friends and fans over the last few months thank you for sticking with us!"
