Destruction of a Rose signs w/ Standby Recs

Official press release: Melodic metal band Destruction of a Rose, hailing from Las Vegas, NV has announced that they have signed with Standby Records. The band was recently featured in Hails and Horns magazine as their featured unsigned band, and was also one of the unsigned bands of the month in Alternative Press issue #248, who said of the band, "Destruction of a Rose are a double-bass-pounding metal machine, effortlessly jumping between old-school Pantera-style trash and modern metalcore." When asked about signing with Standby Records, guitarist Gordon Lamont commented, "We had several offers on the table, but felt like Standby was the right label for us. Looking at their roster of artists and how they treat and push their bands, it was the best choice all around. The staff at Standby is legit, and didn’t give us the feeling of being your average label guys; they really care about their bands." At the end of March, Destruction of a Rose will enter Lambesis Studios with Tim Lambesis and Daniel Castleman (Impending Doom) to record their Standby Records' debut EP, due out early summer 2009. "We've recorded with Tim and Daniel before and are anxious to get back in the studio with them." Lamont commented. "We're going to churn out this EP and then hit the road with No Bragging Rights in April and Planes Crash in June."
