Here's some interesting information courtesy of Superhero... Ryan Downey, former vocalist for Burn It Down, and former Racetraitor/Arma Angelus/Burn It Down guitarist Dan Binaei, have formed a new band called Her Black Wings. The outfit also features drummer Charlie Walker, who has previously played with Split Lip, Chamberlain, and New End Original. Her Black Wings is currently writing material and looking for a new bass player to replace James Hart, who was too busy singing for Eighteen Visions. According to Downey, "We're just taking our time with this. I haven't really been in a band in a year, Charlie just toured with New End for 6 months, and Dan is putting together a massive activist campaign to fight union-busting. We are all excited about making heavy music together but we're waiting for our Cliff Burton to walk in the door before it really takes off. We hear that Jason Newsted is free. We're just going to jam, feel it all out, and listen to lots of Samhain." In related news, Downey is also working on "solo" acoustic/pop oriented material with Eighteen Visions/Throwdown member Ken Floyd and Bleeding Through's Molly Street assisting. The project is called The Family Ghost and will be releasing material through Arise Records later this year.
