Turmoil is probably the actual best musical act to ever come out of NE PA. I mean, Wisdom in Chains were good at their thing until it became clear this area is a wasteland of talent and people got in their heads and made them think writing boring, mid-tempo, dad rock and calling it PAHC was a good idea. At least that album with Chasing the Dragon. Most of that sucks butt.

Jim Thorpe is a town in Carbon County PA right near Lehighton PA where Kerry Getz from those CKY videos is from. It used to be called Mauch Chunk but then they bought the burial rights to Jim Thorpe, who has no tangible connection with the town, and changed the town name. His grave is the first thing you're greeted by entering Jim Thorpe from Route 903 as you go down the sleeping bear mountain.

none of these places really matter though, you know that cursive song from that one EP where he talks about any town USA full of a bunch of imbeciles and lost souls? thats basically everywhere north of Northern Liberties and west of Center City Philadelphia.

Billy Joel wrote a song about Allentown, but it's actually about Bethlehem, but since no one gives a single f*ck about Northeastern Pennsylvania, no one did shit. I mean, it's clearly about Bethlehem and not Allentown. But that doesn't matter. I guess at least they set the American version of The Office up here.
