Members of Embrace the End and Conducting From the Grave have formed new a death metal band called Soma Ras.
Members of a few notable bands recently joined forces to form Sacramento, CA death metal band Soma Ras. The group's official biography states:
Spencer Daly (Embrace the End, Cyanide Era) and Flint Marshall (G.b.a.a., Cyanide Era) decided to team up with guitarist John Abernathy (Conducting from the Grave), frontman Monte Barnard (The Antioch Synopsis), and bass driller Ryan Ausbun to became part of the onslaught of brutality. The goal was to make an old school style death metal band with a contemporary Blackened death metal feel.
