We're looking for a dedicated group of writers to produce written content for Lambgoat.com — read below to find out more and apply.
What you'll be covering:
In this role, you will join the writing team in our writer room (via Discord) to plan content, share stories, and coordinate with our editors to curate and post articles.
- Breaking music news. This can include new album/single announcements, tour announcements, music beefs, death announcements, and other general news stories in the music industry.
- Feature Articles. These may be retrospective articles looking back on bands or tours, deep dives into local music scenes, or simply roundups of weekly releases
- Interviews. Engage with artists, industry professionals, and other influential figures within the hardcore, metal, and extreme music scenes. Provide insightful discussions, unique perspectives, and behind-the-scenes stories.
- Lists. Curate and present engaging, informative, and entertaining content that categorizes and ranks music-related topics within the realm of hardcore and metal, such as informed genre lists, rankings, and tier lists, for example.
Revenue Share:
Our content writers are paid a percentage of revenue generated from their articles as long as they maintain status within the LG Media network. Our writers are our partners and this structure allows our site to remain independently sustainable without outside investment influencing our writing.
To maintain writer status within the network, writers must publish at least two articles per month on the site to qualify for that month's revenue share. Writers are paid for revenue generated on all past articles they've written earned during the months they are eligible.
- Earn 25% of programmatic ad revenue for each article written on any of the network's platforms.
- Earn monthly bonuses based on word count contributed to the network, derived from a pool of direct advertising and subscription revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Write at least two articles per month of any of the above
- Ability to craft clear, compelling, and impactful written content
- Ability to write with efficiency and style, within the site’s style guide
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent track record of meeting deadlines
- A passion for the music and entertainment industry
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across multiple platforms within the network
