Post CommentI was just about to say, this review is spot on. Good Review, Better album, GREAT live show.
I had never heard of Engineer, but got to see them with Coliseum. They blew me away. The record does no justice to their live show, but it's still incredibly intense.
Such a killer album, met my expectations. Nice to see a band that showed early promise step up and deliver.
I'll be real happy when this wave of Botch and Coalesce worship is over.
Yeah I saw Engineer with Coliseum and Breather Resist a few years ago and they were off the hook. I definitely agree with this review as far as the praising of the band goes, but I would have to say that Engineer takes cues from a Breather Resist-type sound, cranks the volume up and f*cking flattens you!
god bless the only lambgoat reviewer (besides ash of course) with a brain thank god for you good sir great review
amazing f*cking band and this record rules, def one of my top 5 of the year. maybe someday they will return out phone calls!
alright review. pretty decent record but i still find myself attracted to earlier songs. artwork for the dregs is possibly the worst i've ever seen.
finally a good review on lambgoat. this band f*cking slays
f*cking incredible album. Review should probably have been a 9, but that's only a minor quibble. So heavy, dynamic and interesting. Pummelling.
I must agree with every word of xtroyx's comment
awesome album. its been in my cd player non stop
A friend of mine booked Engineer once, 20 people came. Dudes sleep on this band but they're awesome. People in CT don't actually like music I swear........
Great review, great band. Love the artwork on this record, too. I'll agree with the people who say this should have probably be a 9/10. Otherwise, this review sums it up perfectly.
vdburns, i agree. i just moved back to CT after living elsewhere for the better part of 7 years. and i have to say that the CT music scene is one of the worst i've ever seen. the only thing kids around here seem to like are their friends shitty tough guy hardcore bands. f*ck living in ct.
you said boobie. when you get back to ann arbor you best be calling me.
Yes sir. I'll be back in a few days... maybe the 29th or 30th.
I love this whole sub-genre of music (Architect, Gaza, The Minor Times, etc).
how come i cannot get into this album...just seems boring to me
You cannot judge this band unless you have seen them live. One of the heaviest live performances I've ever heard, this band is so underrrated in the scene its terrible. Nick is still the best reviewer on this site.
yeah, it really sucks that any band could ever be influenced by botch or coalesce, it would be way better if people were influenced by sweet bands, anything but botch and coalesce because this wave of botchiness and coalesceity is like being bitten by the love bat, and its driving me maaad! eat the crusted up c-m in my belly button you aids harboring f*ckstick. engineer slay end of story!
i knew that will ferrell reference would be over some heads.

LP version will be out on TDB Records in a couple of months..
Agree on good artwork..if the face had glasses it would reek of the face-melting scene in Temple Of Doom!! And dammm i need to hear this stuff, why does myspace bes blocked at work!?!?!
Where did you live previously? posted by vdburns (bucketsofyuck@dicktouch.com) on 8/23/2007 11:00:30 AM- Boston right after high school for like... 3 1/2 years then San Diego for the past 5 years.
