No Truce breaking up

Thursday, July 16, 2009 6:09 PM PT

Salinas, California hardcore band No Truce is breaking up after four years together. The group's final show will take place on August 14th at the Castle in Soledad, CA. Here's a portion of a statement from the band:

"When your band has been around for four years, you have either 'made it' or not. It's not like our goal was ever to be MTV superstars, but working your ass off as a band for a long time with very little recognition gets old. It's just a fact of life that some bands blow up and some just don't, and our band falls into the much larger category of the latter.

"It has been an honor and a privilege to share the stage with so many great bands, big and small. Being in No Truce has led us to some of the best times of our lives. We are truly grateful to have met so many amazing people on the road. I'd like to thank everyone who has helped us out as a band, but I know I will forget a lot.

"Thanks to anyone and everyone who booked us a show, let us stay at your place, gave us contacts, bought merch, and most of all to everyone who rolled out to our shows and sang along, moshed, or otherwise brought the rowdiness. You truly made this worthwhile."

No Truce has made their final, unreleased full-length available for download here.
