'68 complete new album

Tuesday, September 3, 2019 11:53 AM PT

'68, the noise rock/punk duo led by Josh Scogin (The Chariot, ex-Norma Jean), have completed work on their third album and follow-up to 2017's Two Parts Viper.

The new outing was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Deftones, Mastodon) in Nashville, Tennessee and will likely surface late this year via Good Fight Music.

Scogin had the following to say amid our new interview with him (video below): "We just finished recording with Nick Raskulinecz, he did Foo Fighters and Deftones and many others, and it was awesome. We literally just finished it and now it's kind of in the label's world and what all they do, the mastering and all that stuff... I just say, 'now we let the adults handle it'. It's fun and, what can you say about an album that hasn't been said before?... It's like whatever, we wrote some more songs and I love them. I can't wait to be playing them live... They're some of my favorite songs I've ever written, but again, surely any artist would say that about the newest [album]."

Saw them open off abr a few years back. Really boring but I guess what can do really do with just two members. Dude should go back to Norma jean and at least he will have solid money coming in

No idea how this guy is in his 40's making $150 per show and sustaining a family. His wife must have a damn good job.

That's some fake news. There were less than 50 people at Red 7 when this shitty band played there a few years ago.

Dude for fcking real. It drove me crazy! Brendan handled it well though. You could see it was frustrating him a bit. But seriously, I can see you're trying to keep it casual but I feel like your job as an interviewer is to ask questions that people want to know and then stop.. and LISTEN.. so we can ALL listen! Lol you don't get extra points for finishing his sentences haha
