ex-Darkest Hour guitarist Kris Norris recovering from heart attack

Sunday, July 07, 2019 7:14 PM PT

Three weeks ago guitarist Kris Norris, formerly of Darkest Hour and currently of Weapons of Anew, was hospitalized with "inflammation of the heart or pericarditis," requiring a cardiac catheterization and further testing. According to Norris, doctors believe that a bacterial infection caused him to suffer a heart attack.

Earlier this week, Norris provided the following update:

"I had a cardiology appointment today. It was good and bad news. But the best part is I was cleared to rejoin the tour soon so I hope to see some of you there. Further testing has to be done to determine more but I walked out feeling better and knowing soon I'll be in stage again. I'd like to thank everyone for all the wonderful messages. See you soon on stage."

Friends of Norris have subsequently launched a fundraiser to help offset his medical bills.

Lay off the cheeseburgers, buddy. All you meat-eating wimps are dropping off like flies. Eat your veggies, tough guys.

He doesn't play for Darkest Hour anymore, and apparently smokes crack if he's already having heart attacks.

Get it together, man!!

A gofundme that will subsequently be spent on cigarettes and coke. Suckers born every minute.
