Deafheaven, Doomriders bassist injured in bicycle accident

Tuesday, January 29, 2019 8:29 AM PT

Chris Johnson of Deafheaven

Deafheaven and Doomriders bass player Chris Johnson was recently injured in a bicycle accident and is accepting donations to offset medical expenses. The crowd-funding campaign can be found here.

Johnson comments: "This is a fundraiser to help cover medical costs from a recent bicycle accident, which resulted in me losing everything from my dignity (lol) to some teeth and beyond. I've had a few close friends suggest that I do something like this to help cover some of the expenses, so here we are, BUT, I'm going to work for it."

I think Kamamalalala Harris had an idea about healthcare last night or something. Why don't you look into that...

Everywhere in the industrialized world has some version of universal healthcare, except the US. What a joke.

Remember when president Trump recently said that Australia has a better healthcare system than the US? Well guess what? Australia has universal healthcare.

The Democratic party at large doesn't want universal healthcare because their friends in the for-profit healthcare industry would lose money. Republicans don't want it because because Jesus and freedom or something.

can't we all just get along and laugh at the fact that one of the guys from deafheaven got injured doing the same activity that 8 year old kids do?

This wouldn't be a problem in Canada.

^ Wears a speed suit and rides three feet outside of the bike lane, flipping people off for not respecting his right of way

^ When I'm on my road bike going up a 13% grade hill and coming down it at ~50 mph on a 14lb road bike you can bet I'm not wearing jeans and a hoodie, dingus. Commuting or running an errand, I don't dress like that.

Going outside and getting exercise can be fun. You don't always have to be a basement-dwelling troll all the time.

I live in a densely populated area and prefer to enjoy nature and get excercise in ways that aren't annoying as shit to everyone around me, because I'm not an jerk in real life.

You'd have to be a total loser-machine to post bullshit politics on Lamegay. I browse comments to get a break from that shit and sure enough, some tard who prolly beats off to Fox News has to post poltical shit. You could watch ebony BBW threesomes, YouTube a kid wrecking his bike, or learn how to bake bread. Get fcked. Do somethin. Get a life.

Well, I'm sorry about that. I grew up in a small town and that attitude reminds me of knuckle-dragging redneck shit. I live in a place with a great cycling infrastructure and while there are d*ck cyclists there are plenty who aren't. I drive a car too so I'm sure we don't have to discuss all the entitled, annoying drivers on the road either. Cheers buddy.

Universal healthcare already exists in the US, for non-Whites.
You pay for it in more ways than one.

You're a fool if you gave this kid a penny!!!
Feb 8th post on his Facebook page...
"Currently packing/planning for a trip that includes:

1) camping in Joshua Tree, then
2) attending the Grammys as a nominee, then
3) driving/hiking/camping around New Zealand with my wife, before
4) playing shows in NZ and Australia

Minus smashing the shit out of my face, 2019 is looking real good so far."
