Wear Your Wounds recording new album

Sunday, December 2, 2018 12:16 PM PT

Wear Your Wounds, led by Converge frontman Jacob Bannon, have entered the studio to begin recording a new album.

Chris Maggio (ex-Coliseum, Trap Them) is currently tracking drums at GodCity studios in Salem, MA with Kurt Ballou at them helm (see below).

This recording marks the first time the live lineup of the band -- Bannon, Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord, Stomach Earth), Adam McGrath (Cave In, Nomad Stones), Sean Martin (Twitching Tongues, ex-Hatebreed), and Maggio -- have properly written and recorded material together. Creative contributions from Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe, White Horse), and Gared O'Donnell (Planes Mistaken for Stars, Hawks and Doves) are also expected.

The new album is slated for an early/mid 2019 release through Deathwish Inc., with touring to follow.
