Metalocalypse director Jon Schnepp dies

Friday, July 20, 2018 12:41 PM PT

Metalocalypse director John Schnepp passed away yesterday, July 19 at the age of 51. Schnepp had been on life support since suffering a massive stroke on July 12.

Schnepp's fiancé, Holly Payne, has issued the following statement:

"It is with a broken heart that the Schnepp family and I must announce the passing of our beloved Jon Schnepp, who died peacefully on July 19, 2018.

"Jon ultimately succumbed to the effects of a massive stroke. He had a blood clot removed from his left carotid artery, but the bleeding could not be stopped. Irreparable and catastrophic damage was caused to both hemispheres and all brain activity ceased. His sister Deborah and I had to make the difficult decision to take him off life support. There was no possible way for him to recover. Please understand.

"I spent the last hour of his life with him holding him, laying my head across his massive chest, kissing him, stroking his hair, playing his favorite songs, and telling him over and over again how much I love him. My life has been forever changed by Jon. I feel endlessly grateful to have shared 16 years of laughter, love and incredible adventures together, including the making a feature film, as well as a television series that I hope to complete and release later this year in his honor.

"Jon's mother Miriam, his father David, his sister Deborah and I are devastated beyond measure. We appreciate your love and support, and most importantly your understanding of our privacy at this time as we grieve."

Let me ask you somethin', What time of the day do you like to make love? Have you ever made love just before breakfast? Have you ever made love while you watched the late, late show? Well, let me ask you this, Have you ever made love on a couch? Well, let me ask you this, Have you ever made love on the back seat of a car? I remember one time I made love on the back seat of a car. And the police came and shined his light on me, and I said:
'I'm strokin', that's what I'm doin', I be strokin''

I usually pen the funny AILD, mb troll posts (among many many others) on every article, but NOT. HERE. AND. NOT. NOW. RIP Jeremy Schaap. Any iteration of cartoons from here on out will owe their careers to JS. Much love to all of you. - Jon

Ms. Holly with all due respect you knew him for 16 years and never got married. You don't get the inheritance. Don't be acting and sounding all wifey, the lawyers will put you in your place.

^ common law, retard. She'll get plenty. Sadly, it's not worth the trade off of losing a significant other.

No because California doesn't formally recognize common law. Not only that they had a rocky relationship that was on again and off again for 16 years so their cohabitation was not contiguous and each period doesn't meet the requirements. But if she didn't change her address she might be ok but even that would have to be ruled on by the appellate. Good luck because California is super strict because of all the gold diggers.

It's not like these Adult Swim shows make any money. The Venture Bros. creators admitted that they get paid slightly better than the manager at The Gap.

To that weird dipshit talking about gold diggers for some reason:

California may not do common law marriages, but you can become a registered domestic partner which is more or less the same deal. Happens all the time.

Venture bro peeps make that because they divide by 2, plus they weren't counting royalties which is like a tip to you Moe's burrito artists. Plus if your lazy and only do 1 show you don't stay busy. try $120k a year if you stay busy and don't split it, then usually $30k more per year that increase over time with your portfolio. Jon schnepp and Brandon are/were rich even by Socal standards.

David Gunn a.k.a. Bando Commando/Rambo here. Just wanted to let you know that I would die for anything I stand for. That's just the kind of raw life you have to live on the streets of Flint, MI, which is CRAZY. I don't know if you know this or not, but that's where KING is from and it's CRAZY.

Gonna do some 'cep curls while reciting Descartes then it's time to prowl the streets to catch a body.

Webby please fix the headline to reflect that he directed the pilot of Upright Citizens Brigade. He did Venture Bros season 4, but UCB makes him a fcking Godking

I didn't know he did the pilot episode for UCB... that's amazing. That episode is pure gold and probably the best pilot ever
