Earlier this year, Tragic Hero Records signed Southern California hardcore act Set Sights. Today, the quintet has announced that their debut full-length has been titled The Heavy Alternative and will arrive on September 7 via the aforementioned record label.

To coincide with the news, we've teamed up with Set Sights to premiere a new song called "Planted." A visualizer for the track can be found below.

Vocalist Maro Abdelmola comments on the track: "If I could beg anybody that cares for me for anything, it's when I pass, please carry on as quickly as you can - and continue to pursue happiness. 'Planted' is primarily about accepting fate openly, without fear of any beyond, and hoping the ones who stand with me can let go of me just as I let go of everything else."

Have a listen to "Planted" and keep up with Set Sights through Facebook.

This goes hard boys, 1:07 is absolutely disgusting. "This is the face of hate! You see our faces on a billboard all through the state." (full disclosure: I'm friends with the singer) I briefly met the lead singer outside the venue and I was floored when he went onstage. It is seriously like Jekyll and Hyde, an uncaged beast onstage and so mild-mannered off it. So much so I bought a shirt. Who can't wait for this to grow up the charts? I have the feeling its gonna be a grower. 5/5
