Monday, April 04, 2016 6:56 AM PT

The Black, the new album from Asking Alexandria, has debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 30,000 (28,000 pure album sales) in the United States. This is the third straight Top 10 showing from the UK band, and their first with new frontman Denis Stoff.

For comparison's sake, the band's 2013 album From Death To Destiny bowed at No. 5 on the aforementioned chart, selling 38,000 copies in its first week. Meanwhile, Reckless & Relentless (2011), sold roughly 31,000 copies in its debut week, landing at No. 9 on the Billboard 200.

Without Joey Sturgis making this band they'd be playing basements in their respective countries.
