Monday, June 23, 2014 6:31 PM PT

Eyehategod has revealed that their van was broken into while they were performing in St. Louis, MO last week. According to the band, guitarist Brian Patton's losses "total in the thousands." Here's the official word:

"Hey folks - wanted to put this out there in case anybody can help that last Wednesday June 18th in St. Louis, MO our van was broken into while we were on stage. Brian's computer bag with all of his earnings from the tour as we'll as his iPad and various items were taken as well as their Booking Agent\TM's (Zac Ohler) computer and personal bag and drummer Aaron Hill's. Brian's losts total in the thousands. This is a huge blow and if anybody knows anything or can offer help would be amazing."

So now that money is being spent on crack and dirt weed instead of heroin? This is a huge loss.

Wait, so this happened before the show they got stiffed on? Why is it just getting mentioned now?

I remember seeing these guys at my friends very, very small venue back in 2002(or 03), fresh off the warped tour.......they got there, and 3 songs into their set, the bassist and guitarist broke the necks off their guitars in a mid stage collision. Hell of a talented band, cool guys to talk to as well.

My last pay check is $18,500/moonth working 10 hours a week online. My younger brother friend has been averaging 22k for many months now and he works about 12 hours a week. I cant believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what- I do......

Their music definitely inspired by the late 90's early 00's. Then the started using bouncier riffs and blended technique with occasional power blasting. They do a great job with emphasizing the riffs.. Will be buying a Eyehategod shirt as soon as possible to help offset losses.

Never a rap rock band, either.

Waiting a week to post about this? Dumb. Leaving all of your money and computers in the van while you play? Even dumber.

anonymous

wow you pathetic keyboard try-hards.

6/24/2014 12:44:11 AM
its astonishing that after decades of news of bands vans getting robbed while theyre playing, bands still dont unload all of their shit out of the van when they play

Why are bands dumb enough to leave iPads, computers, and all this other shit in their vans in bigger cities? Shit, why are they bringing expensive electronics on tour anyway? You are baiting thieves to smash your windows and take your stuff. Your vehicle could get broken into even if you don't have any signs of anything in it. Anyway, leaving expensive stuff like that unattended is just stupid.

6/24/2014 5:23:35 AM
hey its not their fault they brang ipads, mike williams is just addicted to candy crush instead of smack

anonymous
6/24/2014 5:43:29 AM
They used to rip off other bands instruments, and sell them for dope. How's it feel? I'm sure they can find some smack to O.D. on in St. Louis. Don't give up!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I want to book a show in St. Louis for a fake band and bring a tour van just so I can legally kill someone.

I'll just sit in the van with a shotgun...and wait.

anonymous
6/24/2014 7:58:53 AM
" Shit, why are they bringing expensive electronics on tour anyway?"

You're not this stupid. Come on, I have faith in you.

6/24/2014 8:05:29 AM
God damn, fcked over twice in one week? I haven't seen that kind of luck since Ed Gein was active. Hope Brian gets his stuff back.

6/24/2014 8:57:17 AM
why do bands leave valuables in the van? that is what the merch area is for, storing your stuff while you play! plenty of witnesses around if something goes down there. hell, put those bags on stage if need be but why leave them unattended and unobserved?! c'mon already.

anonymous
6/24/2014 9:35:17 AM
lol @ Rickrocks idea

anonymous
6/24/2014 10:07:13 AM
even on the crappiest, shadiest small venues to the big stadium tours I've tour managed, either stuff us left is a locked security standing outside room or I bring a smaller backpack just for those thousands or tens of thousand of dollars, passports, iPads, etc. And why are hey not making deposits at this stage in the game. Use a cc as float or debit card?

anonymous
6/24/2014 10:35:59 AM
i guess heroin addiction prevents you from understanding how a bank works?

God must have been behind this. As punishment for hating him.

anonymous
6/24/2014 3:57:43 PM
This is ridiculous. This is like the third band in the last month to get jacked in that city. Wtf is St. Louis's issue?

I heard they left the fcking door wide open. What a way to invite someone to steal. Also, not quite being robbed, more like being stupid. great band, but not so smart. Why would you leave "thousands" in a van. If it were me, it would be in my pocket, or in the venue with me, or even in the venue's safe until i was leaving. at any rate: stupidity on band's part. I doubt it was even a crack head, more likely a fan that likes money more than the band.

6/26/2014 10:22:52 AM
It was God that did this to you. He overheard that you hated him.

anonymous
6/30/2014 6:31:37 AM
The actual report was that they left the van door wide open while inside. "Robbed" isn't the right word here
