Dillinger Escape Plan set to record new album

Monday, October 01, 2012 7:52 AM PT

Dillinger Escape Plan plans to enter the studio in November with producer Steve Evetts to begin tracking their next full-length. Band mastermind Ben Weinman has offered up the following:

"This new material is very punk-, very hardcore-influenced. Maybe it's all the amazing bands reuniting from my youth that is inspiring this. Billy [Rymer] and I have just been listening to old hardcore records blasting through my house and then going down to the dungeon and just bashing. Greg [Puciato] also seems to be in a very dark place lyrically. I think it's going to be pretty creepy. If these songs don't put some holes in the wall, I don't know what will."

Another gay album of Billy Idol rip-off songs. Dillinger always hype their newest shit like it's gonna blow their old stuff out of the water, but in reality they just get worse and worse.

weak shit, re hire Dimitri, then talk about punching holes in shit. Its real simple, is any of the new shit harder than Calculating Infinity? Sadly no. Man up, more scales, more torture/ pain in the vocals, stop singing, its gay. Don't be afraid to tear something every now and then.

Even though I barely give a shit about anything 99.9% of metal/hardcore/punk, etc bands have put out in many many years, each DEP release has proved to be fantastic and full of good, worthy progression.
fck all the dumb shits who are musically retarded and think that CI was their best release. Idiots.

All Dillinger albums are great. Anyone who doesn't agree is a gay ass bitch.

People talking about DEP remind me of the same elitist scene gays dissing Black Flag when they started changing their sound back in the day. Yeah, I'm old, so. History repeats itself repeats iself

If they don't make the same album over and over, they suck.
